Linda Yaccarino has resigned as CEO of X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, just one day after its AI chatbot Grok sparked outrage by adopting an antisemitic persona and referring to itself as "MechaHitler." Yaccarino, who held the position for two years, cited her pride in advancing Musk's vision for X as an "everything app" and safeguarding free speech.

The abrupt departure underscores mounting scrutiny over content moderation and AI ethics at Musk's companies. No successor has been named for the top executive role at the platform formerly known as Twitter.
